Troubleshooting

Ditching chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.

In the app Manual › Ditching › Troubleshooting

Blade is "chasing" — never settles. The valve power may be too high for the implement. Open Settings → CONTROLLER. If the blade jumps at each start or overshoots small corrections, lower Min Valve DC by about 25; if it overshoots big corrections, lower Max Valve DC by about 25. Keep Max above Min. Tap Apply, stop and start auto grading (the control module reads the new values only then), and make a test pass on flat ground. Raise Sensitivity and Lower Sensitivity only change the manual buttons.

"Auto Grading (Commands OFF)" red banner appearing in a scraper mode. Send Commands is off in Settings → DEBUG. Turn Send Commands back on. (Excavator mode does not show this banner — see the Excavator chapter.)

"Current Elev" reads several feet off from the survey. The benchmark offset is wrong. Tap the BM badge, recalibrate using a known point.

The cut is too shallow / too deep across the whole ditch. Same answer: BM is off. Check it before troubleshooting the design.

Design's "Final Target" reads way above the ground. You set a negative Depth Offset by accident, or the design is using the wrong outlet end. Open the design dialog from Survey → Slope-IQ, check Depth Offset and the Outlet toggle.

Slope-IQ shows "Not enough data". The survey has fewer than 2 points. Record a longer survey, or load a different one.

"HOLD — No RTK Fix" stays on after recovery. Tap Hold then Release to clear it. Or stop and restart grading.

Job did not save. Check Settings → ABOUT → Storage. If permission is denied, tap Grant Storage Permission. The next save will go to the public DitchAssist folder.
