Updates the Ditch Assist DIG module's firmware from the tablet, with the firmware packages built into the app — no internet needed in the field. Hidden in Ditch Assist Lite.
Update Firmware → Open — opens the updater. Connect the tablet to the DIG module's Wi-Fi first; the updater talks to the module directly, so it works even on a module too old to connect to the app normally.
- Tap Check. The updater reads the module's installed firmware and reports This module is up to date, or lists Updates to apply, in order.
- Tap Start Update. Updates go one at a time, in order (Step 1 of N). Each one is sent to the module, then the module applies it — about a minute; leave it powered on.
- The updater checks the module itself when the wait ends and moves to the next step on its own — tap Check only if you know the module is ready. If it still reports the old version, wait and Check again.
- The update to 1.7 changes the module's Wi-Fi password, so the tablet will drop off the module's network. The updater tells you the new password: in Android Wi-Fi settings, forget the module's network, rejoin it with the new password, then tap Check.
View Module Log shows the module's own update log if support asks for it. Can't reach the DIG module means the tablet is not on the module's Wi-Fi.
