CONTROLLER

Settings Reference chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.

In the app Manual › Settings Reference › CONTROLLER

Connection (visible only when connected or simulating) — shows controller status. Tap to disconnect. There is no in-Settings reconnect — to connect again, go Home and tap your workflow card.

Controller Type — there is no Controller Type row in the current app. The app detects the control module when you tap Connect; Manual Options in the connect step lets you pick it by hand.

Raise Sensitivity / Lower Sensitivity — how fast the blade moves while you press and hold the app's manual Raise and Lower buttons. Slider range is 0–9 (0 = slow, 9 = fast) in whole steps. They do not change automatic grading, so they are never the fix for a blade that is slow or chasing in auto.

Min Valve DC / Max Valve DC — the lowest and highest valve power during automatic grading, in tenths of a percent (500 = half power, so 301 = 30.1%). In auto the valve goes from off straight to Min whenever the blade has to move, the power climbs slowly (a few percentage points per second) towards Max while the blade lags behind, and the valve switches off within about 10 mm (under ½ in) of the target. Every start from rest and every change of direction begins again at Min. Set Min just below the point where the blade starts to move: too low and the blade waits a few seconds before it moves, too high and it jumps at each start. Set Max high enough for big corrections without overshoot. The on-screen "default" 301 / 701 is the app's recommended starting value; a brand-new or reset control module holds its own factory values, 400 / 600. Max must be higher than Min, or the app doesn't send the values and the module keeps its old ones. They do not change the manual Raise and Lower buttons. Change about 25 at a time, tap Apply, then stop and start auto grading and test on flat ground.

Hydraulic preset chips — not shown in the current app. Set Min Valve DC and Max Valve DC by hand.

Apply and Refresh — moving the sliders edits local values only; nothing reaches the controller until you tap Apply. Apply stays greyed until a value has changed AND a controller is connected; a Settings sent to controller SnackBar confirms the send. The control module saves the values in its memory straight away, so they survive a power-off, but it reads Min / Max Valve DC only when auto grading starts: after Apply, stop and start auto grading. Refresh reloads the panel from the values the app last read from the controller (it reads them on every connect), discarding unsent edits. A small status line below the panel shows whether the controller accepted or rejected the last DC values. When tuning: adjust, Apply, restart auto grading, test, repeat.

(RTK Sensitivity lives under SURVEY, not here — see the SURVEY section above.)
