Coverage heatmap
Map Layers chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Map Layers › Coverage heatmap
The coverage heatmap is drawn in real time as you grade. Each grid cell stores:
- Latest cut/fill error — color-coded.
- Pass count — how many times you covered that cell.
- Achieved final grade — true if error is within the mode's on-grade band (±0.5″ Tiling, ±1.5″ Excavator, ±1″ others).
Color scheme:
- Green — final grade achieved (within the mode's on-grade band). Green is reserved for done.
- Blue — overcut more than 1″ below grade.
- Yellow / Orange / Red — roughly 1 / 2 / 3+ cutting passes remaining, computed as remaining error ÷ Max Cut Per Pass.
Cell opacity rises slightly with pass count.
Disable on map: Settings → GRADING → Draw on Map.
