The Excavator design dialog
Excavator chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Excavator › The Excavator design dialog
The dialog is the Slope-IQ design dialog, opened in Excavator context. Differences vs. Ditching:
- Est. Passes badge is hidden. Excavator dig is single-pass; estimated passes is meaningless.
- The grade screen for Excavator gets the achieved-grade overlay, while the design dialog itself looks the same.
Everything else is the same:
- Three modes: Best-Fit, Guided, Freeform.
- Same parameter cards: Depth Offset, Min Grade, Bottom Width, Side Slope, Min Depth, Max Depth.
- Same Outlet toggle.
- Same tap-to-edit on every value.
- DEPTH OFFSET range up to ±360″ / ±915 cm — useful when an excavator has to cut 20+ ft of overburden.
- MAX DEPTH up to 120″ — same reason.
After Implement, the calibration and Auto-Nudge prompts skip the Auto-Nudge step (excavator is single-pass) but still prompt for benchmark calibration.
