Troubleshooting

Terracing chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.

Volume strip shows huge negative balance. Either the channel is too shallow (raise Depth Offset) or the Min Berm Height is too tall (lower it). Tap Auto-Balance to let the dialog deepen the channel automatically.

Berm chart line looks crazy / above terrain. Berm survey is on the wrong side of the channel, or Min Berm Height is set very high. Verify the berm survey direction and the height value.

Toggling Channel/Berm doesn't change the target. The toggle is a sidebar button — make sure you tapped it (the active half carries an ACTIVE tag). The toggle is greyed out when no controller is connected — switching requires an active controller link. If automatic grading is running, the switch is refused until you tap HOLD yourself; an automatic hold from RTK loss does not count. Tap HOLD, switch, then RESUME.

"Cannot auto-balance — cut requirement exceeds {cap}″ offset cap." The auto-balance loop clamps the total Depth Offset (in 0.5″ steps) to the configured cap, and on failure restores your original offset. The cap is operator-adjustable: Settings → GRADING → Auto Balance Max Offset (default 36″, range 12–120″). Remedies: raise that setting, deepen the offset by hand (the card allows up to 360″), or lower the Min Berm Height to shrink the required fill volume.

Job doesn't auto-save. Same answer as every other mode: check storage permission in Settings → ABOUT.
