Surveying (optional)

Surveying for Simple Grading is identical to Ditching:

1. From the Simple Grading wizard, tap New Survey.
2. Drive to the start, tap Start in the sidebar.
3. Drive the route at a steady pace.
4. Tap Stop at the far end, name the survey, Save.

The survey gives you two things in the design dialog:

• A terrain line on the chart so you can see the cut and fill the constant slope will produce.
• Real Cut Vol, Max Cut, and Avg Cut numbers in the stats strip.

If you skip the survey (Enter Grade Only), the chart is empty and the volume numbers are blank — but the blade still follows your grade in the field.

Loading a saved survey or design

Tap Load Survey/Design in the wizard. Pick from the dated list of surveys or designs. Surveys take you to the Simple Grade dialog. Designs (including Simple Grade designs you saved earlier) skip the design step and go straight to Grade.
