Use Current is the simplest workflow. Drive to where the finished pad surface should be with the blade on the ground, tap Use Current in the bottom input bar (the target is set immediately, in the BM frame), then tap Start in the sidebar and drive the rest of the pad. The blade matches the height where you started.

Frame consistency. If your BM is calibrated to a surveyed datum (NAVD88, etc.), enter the target in that datum. If your BM is at zero, the target is in raw GPS frame — the input bar's Use Current applies the BM offset for you. The bar is visible whenever grading is stopped, including before the first Start.

Leveling vs Simple Grading at 0%. A 0% Simple Grade and a Leveling target at the same elevation produce the same blade behavior. Leveling skips the survey and design steps so it's faster to set up. Use Simple Grade at 0% if you want to also see cut/fill volumes against terrain.

No design files. Leveling does not save a design — only the job auto-saves with the target value.

Only one target. If your pad has two adjacent zones at different elevations (a step), level them as separate jobs. Set target A, level zone A, Stop, set target B, level zone B.
