Build the surface once, survey many lines. The field surface is per-field. Once it's in, you can lay out as many contour tile lines as you want without re-mapping.
A contour is level — fall is your job. Following a contour exactly holds one elevation. To get drainage fall, intentionally ease downhill off the contour toward the outlet. The tile design enforces your Min Grade, but it can only work with the route you give it.
Drive the route you want laid. The install follows your driven path, not the ideal contour. Take your time on the survey pass — a wobbly survey line gives a wobbly tile.
Cover the field evenly when drive-mapping. Sparse or lopsided coverage makes ragged contours. Space your passes like you're mowing.
Single-pass, like all tiling. There's no going back over it lower. If a section came out shallow, you handle it by hand — there's no multi-pass Auto-Nudge in any tiling mode.
