How do I get my data off the tablet?

  1. Connect the tablet to this PC with a USB cable.
  2. On the tablet, when prompted (or via the USB notification), choose File transfer / Android Auto (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open This PC → <tablet name> → Internal shared storage → Documents → DitchAssist.
  4. Copy the whole DitchAssist folder to the PC (recommended), or pick subfolders: jobs/ (grading jobs), surveys/ (ditch surveys), designs/ (saved designs), levee_jobs/ + levee_surveys/ (levee & field surveys), lidar-fields/ (LiDAR fields), logs/ (session logs), exports/ (XYZ/KML/CSV exports).
  5. Drag the folder (or any files) into this window. Nothing is uploaded — everything stays on the PC.

Privacy

Do I need internet to use the Job Viewer?

No. The Job Viewer runs in your browser and everything you drop in stays on this PC — nothing is uploaded. The one exception is the background aerial map imagery, which needs a connection to load; the rest of the tool works offline.

What file types does it read?

Grading jobs, ditch/field/levee surveys, designs, LiDAR field catalogs, and session logs saved by the Ditch Assist app, plus XYZ, CSV, TSV, and KML exports — as .json, .log, .txt, .gz, .xyz, .csv, .tsv, or .kml files.

Reporting

Can I generate a job report from these files?

Yes. Once your files are loaded, use the Report button to build a printable PDF with a cover summary, per-item map, elevation profile, and spec tables — useful for compliance submissions or your own records.
